| Outlining the odds of Healthcare Legislation |
| As the House of Representatives vote this week, both the Democrats and Republicans have shown that they are unable to work towards negotiating a solution. Among the 27 House Democrats, there are few who seem to indicate the fact that they would be voting against the Senate plan. They quote by saying what really makes them stand against the plan is that they find the legislation not doing enough to control costs and cannot afford to create a new federal bureaucracy that costs nearly $1 trillion when the national debt of America is $12 trillion. Moreover there is presently no plan in place to address it. They seem to agree with Republican critics on many financial conventionalists and would hence oppose the healthcare legislation. |

| Obama does not let go Health insurers |
|
| In order to reform America’s expensive healthcare system and make it more transparent, Obama at present seems to target the health insurers and administration officials to justify the hike in premium rates that they proposed or implemented in 2010. The insurers are expected to post information about the reason for rise in premiums for certain individuals, and make public the details of their estimated cost, enrollment changes, etc. |

| Best of both parties in health reform |
| US President Barack Obama seems to reconsider the healthcare proposal and incorporate the best ideas put forth by both Republicans and Democrats. The president aims to propose a comprehensive health reform bill that would reduce the premiums, increase affordability by providing federal assistance to families and expand healthcare coverage to millions of Americans.
The Democrats seem to reinforce the view that they would try and bridge the differing Democratic and Republican visions for the country. Although they do not see it possible enough to do so, they do consider this as a worthwhile effort. |
